Paris: Snow Day

Paris: Snow Day

by Marc Nair, 18 March 2018

On 7 February 2018, over six inches of snow fell on the streets of Paris, the largest such snowfall in over 30 years. It was unprecedented, delightful and drew the city to a standstill. Even the salt sprinkled on the roads couldn't keep up. Cars were literally overcome by snow and only the metro, snug underground, kept on going. Meanwhile, Parisians made a day of it, and certainly, it gave us some unforgettable images. After all, how often does one see the world's most romantic city decked out in white?
